Our Mission
Our non-profit organization is committed to promoting equine well-being through various initiatives, including awareness campaigns, rescue missions, rehabilitation efforts, and relocation programs. Our goal is to protect and improve the lives of horses, as well as other animals in need of assistance. At the heart of our mission lies the unwavering belief that every animal deserves to be treated with compassion and respect. We aspire to make a positive difference not only in the lives of every animal we rescue but also in our entire community.

Our Story
Chevalerie, animal rescue, is made up of a dedicated team of advocates and animal lovers who have come together to make a difference in the lives of animals in need. Their passion for animal welfare is what drives and motivates them to provide the best care for the animals under their wings.
The non-profit organization, entirely run by volunteers, was founded in 2018 with the goal of offering a loving and safe refuge for neglected, mistreated, or abandoned animals. “We firmly believe that all animals deserve to be treated with love and respect, and we work tirelessly to ensure that they receive the care and attention they need to thrive,” says Marc Étienne Ladouceur, General Director.
As such, the founding members have committed themselves to saving animals in precarious situations by providing them with medical and rehabilitation care and finding loving homes for their wards. The objective is to have a positive and lasting impact on the lives of the animals they help. “We intervene in the face of neglect, abuse, and abandonment, giving these vulnerable animals a second chance. We ensure they receive the necessary treatments to heal and continue a healthy life away from their trauma,” says Sylvie Legendre, Director of Animal Welfare.
Every action undertaken by the volunteer team is guided by respect, compassion, and the desire to create an environment where gentleness and animal well-being are priorities. Whether it is saving animals from dangerous situations, providing them with medical or rehabilitative care, the primary goal is to take concrete steps to help these animals.
